Flower And History
I'm terrible at remembering plant names. I believe this is a Lupine - feel free to correct me. Directly behind the flower and running parallel to the trail is a section of pipe from the old water system going back to the early days of the city.

It's lovely, esp. like you have it against the historic path. (It is a lupine...I posted some last week and PA told me what they were...according to Wikiped. there are 400-600 species of lupine).
yeah, they come in different sizes. My favorite is the one that smells like grape bubble gum
