Hanging Around Old Town

If these photos look familiar it's because they've each had their day here on Gem City Images.  They are six of my black and white images of the old Monrovia train depot and were chosen by a designer working on the Paragon at Old Town development.  This is the first public display of prints of my images that I'm aware of and, as you can see, I had to take a photo.

If you find yourself in the area, stop by and have a look.  They are on display inside the new leasing office in the Paragon at Old Town building at 700 S. Myrtle Ave. in Monrovia.

It must be so rewarding to have preserved part of your city's history with these beautiful photos. Congratulations, well deserved.
I see my favorite (lower right ) is in the mix. Good for you. Now if you can get them a home in the restored station come Gold Line time that will be quite the coup.

Was it your choice to hang them in that pattern?
I went back and gave it a more careful look. I like the way you've hung them and the associations they create between one another. Especially with the track you've put in front and center on the upper row. They look great as a group (which is my favorite way to see art..similar, alike and grouped)

yay Keith!

Altadenahiker: Thank you! It's good to hear that there is that kind of reaction to them.

Paula: I realized early on that there was a definite lack of local photos available. It does feel good.

Pas Adj: I do like that one too. As far as my input, it stopped at taking and processing the photos. She chose and purchased the photos through the service I use on my site (Fotomoto.com). All the rest (matting, framing and layout) were by the professional designer. I was curious how they would be arranged and really do like how it was done. After seeing them, I'd love to take credit for the whole thing, but I can't. Someday...
