I haven't been there yet myself. I was going to go there a couple weeks ago but it was a Monday and they were closed. One of these days.

i've eaten there once...it used to be moondog's, a hot dog joint, so the place is super small but cute with only maybe seating for 15 max! guess that's the draw. the rolls were decent, but the service was great!

I'm a regular there. I have been going there since late January. Went in there with a buddy to get some drinks and a couple rolls before a movie. I was quite impressed with the quality of the fish. The most refreshing thing about Mooncat's is that it actually own and run by japanese people. Too many of the places in the area are chinese or korean own. Nothing against them but it's just not the same experience. This place is for the true japanese food lovers not the people that think sushi is "special rolls". This is a place you go to actually taste the fish and freshness, not a nasty place like Kabuki or the like where they make their "special" rolls to hide how their fish may be two weeks old.

Mooncat's is a two thumbs up for service, food and ambiance. The owner's are great and since that first visit, I go there at least once a week for my fix.

Ditto what Noel said! Our favorite restaurant in all of San Gabriel Valley! Azusa, the owner is totally awesome. She remembers all of her return customers by name! My husband and I recommend Mooncat to EVERYONE~and we always bring our out of town guests because the hospitality is so great! It's just like eating at a family members' home! :)
