Pay phones used to be everywhere. Replaced by cell phones.
It took me awhile to find even this one to photograph. As you can see in the photo, they get no respect.
So common not that long ago, now on the verge of extinction.

Nice mono picture and so true too. Although I saw a couple of teenage girls using one a couple of days back, at the time I was surprised. I guess maybe they had no credit, they were around 14
So true. But not here, not quite yet anyway.
Love the shot, and it is hard to find those these days!
I didn't realize how few there were until I tried to find one to photograph.
