Monrovia Public Library - West Side
Now that the fencing is down, we can get a better look at what the back of the new library looks like. Still needs some landscaping but the new playground equipment is in waiting for the ribbon cutting on January 9th.

Monrovia Train Depot Unfenced Front
When I can't decide whether to post the color or black and white version of a photo, the only other option is to post both.

Eastbound On The Tracks
Monrovia Train Depot. Similar to yesterday's photo but from a little different perspective - and in black and white.

The North Pole
Spotted this in downtown Monrovia, which is nowhere near the North Pole. I hope Santa doesn't get confused.

Monrovia Canyon Park Cabin Tree
From the annual volunteer recognition and potluck event.
Bear with me a little self-congratulations - I was just announced at the above event as the new Monrovia Canyon Park Volunteer of the Year! I can tell you right now it's only because the people I'm lucky enough to work with make me look good.

T. Phillips Christmas Window 2009
The front window of T. Phillips Alehouse & Grill is decorated again for the holidays this year, even though you can see they aren't quite ready to open for business yet. The faces of those two in the window are hidden, but they look awfully familiar...

Monrovia Canyon Park Sleigh
This is what the teaser from yesterday was about. The Monrovia Canyon Park entry in the 2009 Holiday Parade. Unfortunately, this is a Gem City Images exclusive. Just as the parade was starting, the strings of lights along the sides went out. No one on the parade route got to see it just like this. Quite a success nonetheless.
FYI: That large lion on the left was part of a different entry.
New computer on the way. More photos from the parade, the new fountain (yes, it was unveiled just before the parade), the city Holiday(?) Tree and more from this night will appear then.

2009 Holiday Parade Teaser
Don't want to give too much away. Look for the Monrovia Canyon Park entry tonight to see what park volunteers have been working on for the parade this year.
The parade is tonight (Dec. 3rd) at 7:00 pm. on Myrtle Ave in downtown Monrovia. Tree lighting ceremony is in Library Park just prior to the parade at 6 pm.
