Santa Anita Canyon Fire

This photo was taken Saturday night of a still out of control (as of this post) fire burning close by in the foothills above the adjacent / neighboring communities of Arcadia and Sierra Madre. While not in Monrovia, it does impact all the cities in the area through the use of resources and it has us all keeping a close eye on things. Fire and wind do not care about city borders.

For consistently updated information on the fire see the Foothill Cities blog with links to sources large and small, photographs and input from those in the community directly affected by the fire.

Wow, I just read about it this morning. I was in San Diego last year and this remind me with last year fire. Excellent shot.

I hope it gets under control soon. My son works for DNR and will fight forest fires every summer. Beautiful shot. Stay safe

Tanya: Not yet. The last I heard, containment was around 23%, down from 30% the night before. Cooler weather is expected this week, which should help.
