My singer is a tad younger then this model but not by much. I bought it twenty years ago from a downtown L.A. thrift store. It still runs and I still use it.

I'd love to put that one on display with other old, ordinary, black things: a rotary dial telephone, gramophone, typewriter, charcoal clothes iron.

The vintage Singer sewing machines I've seen for sale here are just solid black. This one's pretty.

That's a real gem. I used to take them apart (ones of later vintage) & try to figure out how they work.
