Library Park Leaning Tree Removed

Some Before, During, and After photos of the removal of the leaning tree below:

The leaning tree, to the right of the bandshell in the photo above, had begun leaning more and at an accelerated pace.  The city was advised by West Coast Arborists that the tree was in bad condition and needed to be removed.

You can see by the location of the tree and the direction it's leaning, there's a good chance it would have fallen on the bandshell.

Tree removal, Saturday, June 18th.  Only pieces remain, ready to be hauled away.

The scene now without the tree.  Feels a little unbalanced now.
