Pioneer Point Buffet And Grill

Looks like a new restaurant called the Pioneer Point Buffet And Grill is moving into the old Macaroni Grill building on the corner of Huntington Dr. and Fifth Ave.

This looks just like my kind of place - love the colours.
Cheers.

I'm wondering how well it will do, if we already have Black Angus and Claim Jumpers....

This place is a mystery so far. A quick search reveals no more info. Lots of people are curious.

Pas Adj: On a ... macaroni grill.

I can't wait to find out what kind of food they will serve. By the name on the sign, it sound like they will have country style food /steak house. Pioneer Point sign said they are a "buffet" which Claim Jumper and Black Angus are not; this is to their advantage If there food is good and there prices are far, then I think they will do well with Claim Jumper and Black Angus near by.

This from their Craigslist posting for help wanted "Our theme is upscale western with a vegas twist and we are called Pioneer Point Buffet and Grill"

I just drove by, today. I wonder when they'll be open? I love buffets!

Though there aren't any reviews, there a sample picture of their food on Yelp (in the reviews section), and it looks like another sub-par Asian buffet. Hopefully, they've got stuff besides the typical chow mein and orange chicken (that's what's shown in the photo). I'd be happy, if it was on par with Todai or Onami. I'm curious as to what kind of cowboy type food they'll be serving.

Been there, ate there, and it is soooo bad. This is worse than Hometown Buffet yet they have the same food as Hometown. Everything tasted so bland. The simplest items such as corn, corn bread, steamed vegetables are all tasteless. Not to mention most of the food were dried up on the steam table. Definitely would not go back anymore. Really missed the old Mac Grill.

It's a depressed, disappointed and discussed place, everything is old and recycle, unfresh food, NOTHING IS GOOD!They try to make it like hometown buffet or Zen buffet, but they are far away from the others!I wonder soon they will get a law suit from someone who gets food poisoning!

Just went there and had better tasting dog food, food was grease, cold, dry ,tasteless, full of fat, food dryed to serving pans. l will never return to this dump. I demanded a full refund and when I told them why, they reply: so what the problem with our food ?
What's up with that. This place should be reported to the health dept ASAP

Ate there tonight. Lots of variety. Everything was fresh. Homemade bread and desserts were good. Many beverage choices...all included...including apple and orange juice. Will definitely return.

**DO NOT EAT HERE**

food was cold sitting in each individual serving trays..great way to get food poison

half the trays were either empty or have not been touched in quite sometime..resulting in everything having thick skin on top

mashed potatoes were way overly seasoned with garlic salt and something esle

macaroni and cheese was actually something else..kinda wanted to spit it out of my mouth

enchiladas were sour! how was this even possible!?

pulled pork was sitting in nothing but grease..like all day

only thing that saved the ribs was the BBQ sauce

i can go on and on....
