New Route 66 Street Emblems

I'm loving the re-emphasis and promotion of Route 66 in Monrovia.  The latest is the painting of the Route 66 emblem in several spots along the streets.  Monrovia is lucky enough to have 2 alignments of Route 66 through town, and the city included them both.

The later alignment is straight through along Huntington Drive.  My favorite of the newly painted spots is right by the old Flying A gas station (soon to be Runabout Goods) along the original route up Shamrock, and across Foothill Blvd.  The pumps are missing at the moment, but they will be back.
