Lone Desk
Two versions of the same scene. This, like Monday's photo, was also taken at Clifton Middle School.
I posted both because I can't really decide which one I like better. I'm leaning toward the first (top) photo, which one do you prefer?

Well Fed And Angry Rattlesnake
Came a little too close for comfort to this rattlesnake yesterday. He had recently eaten (the body is much larger on the right side about midway) and had his rattle up and shaking like crazy. He wasn't happy to be disturbed but finally went down the slope and let us continue.

Shadow Monrovia In Black And White
If this photo looks familiar, it should. I posted a color version last week. I just really liked the way it looks in black and white, so I decided to post this version also.

Monrovia Train Depot Panorama
I've posted bits, pieces and angles of the train depot many times and thought it was time to give a more overall view of what the place looks like. This is the north side of the entire depot (I was facing south to take the photos). Myrtle Ave. is to the left of the image, the railroad tracks and Nu-Way car wash are behind the building.
Not crazy with how the sky turned out but I since I hand held the camera for the five shots that make up this panorama, I wasn't expecting perfection.
Be sure to click the image for a larger view.

Checkerspot Butterfly
A companion to the photo posted yesterday. I believe this is a Checkerspot butterfly, but feel free to correct me.

Butterfly
I missed the recent butterfly count in the hills above Monrovia so my identification skills are lacking. I'm going to say this is a Swallowtail butterfly. Can anyone confirm or identify this butterfly?

Another shot of the Monrovia Train Depot. This one has a completely different feel from the photo posted for Theme Day.
