It Begins...
...something other than legal wrangling pertaining to the Gold Line extension.
Underground utility and soil investigation. Expect some lane closures and parking restrictions around railroad crossings now through April 5th.

Rain Storm In The Mountains
Lots of blue sky and sunshine south of the city. Turn around and look north and it's a completely different story. Over the city was a mixture of sunshine and raindrops when I took this photo.

Bears In Monrovia Canyon Park
Mama bear and her not so little offspring this afternoon at the park. The little one wanted to play, but with people starting to gather, mama just wanted to keep moving.

Downtown Monrovia At Night
The downtown area and a little beyond. The bright area in the lower right is the Pavilions shopping center. Myrtle Avenue would angle to the upper left from there. The Foothill (210) freeway cuts horizontally across the photo about a third of the way down from the top.

Jim's Burgers - New Exterior
As part of the Mon-Arc Center facade rehab, Jim's Burgers (915 W. Duarte Rd.) also got a nice new exterior. I think it looks great.
Here's a photo of the old sign with the large soft serve cone: http://www.gemcityimages.com/2011/06/jims-original-famous-14-lb-burgers.html
