Pioneer Point - Closed
This happened while I was on my 2 week hiatus, but Pioneer Point closed as of the end of last month.
For whatever reason, my original posts generated a lot of traffic and I still get visits nearly every day from people searching for this restaurant. There were also some strong opinions along the way. I know I'm a little late, but I just wanted to bookend my "Cooking Now" post with a "Closed" post.

A Little Leftover Snow
I missed out on what the local foothills looked like yesterday, luckily there was a little bit of snow left early this morning to see before it all melts away.

A Rainy Day Favorite
Potato balls from Merengue Bakery and Cafe.
These are great anytime but they just seem even better when it's cold and rainy out. Pictured above are 2 each of the cheese filled and the ground beef filled. The toothpicks are so I could tell them apart.

Tree Lined Ridge
Nothing particularly unique about this photo, but it was such a beautiful and clear day yesterday I stopped to enjoy the view of the trees at the top of the local foothills against the clear blue sky. The trees on the right half of the photo almost look like they lined up single file.

Waterfall - Mid-afternoon
I'm not usually at the waterfall in the mid-afternoon so this was a special treat. For a short period of time, the sun was shining directly on the waterfall with the foreground in deep shadow. Always nice to see the familiar in a new light.
